Sam challenges his athletes both mentally and physically. He pushes them and demands more from them than perhaps they think possible, but the nature of the support that Sam can deliver to an athlete is second to none - he possesses an unrivalled care and commitment to the cause.
Sam has worked in motorsport and F1 since 2013 (Carlos Sainz Jr, Daniel Ricciardo & Max Chilton) and enjoys preparing his drivers for the demands that come with racing across the world, alongside the considerable amount of variables that are in play when adapting and improving performance within a car. A key target for his drivers is to have no concerns physically or mentally by preparing themselves in the best possible way before competition.
Alongside his work with elite racing drivers, Sam also specialises in S&C coaching as well as running full training programmes for amateur endurance athletes. A keen triathlete himself, Sam has trained a range of athletes from first time runners to Iron Man triathletes and ultra-runners.
Sam has a Masters degree in psychology as well as a bachelor’s degree in Sport Science from Durham University.

We are super proud to have an experienced athlete and coach like Matt on our team. His coaching philosophy is based on 4 pillars: consistency, enjoyment, intelligence and purpose. When applied correctly, these elements create athletes who understand their training, enjoy what they do and believe in a process tailored to them. Matt doesn’t do cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all. It’s all about the bigger picture custom-made for you and your personal journey.
When he is not coaching with us, Matt runs a track group with the Belgrave Harriers in Battersea Park along these exact same principles. His runners cover the full spectrum of experience and ability and continue to bound from PB to PB across all distances. It is also within this group that Matt does his own training. His PBs of 8:46 over 3000m, 15:02 over 5000m and 31:24 over 10km speak volumes on the effectiveness of his methods.
Matt is still pushing his frontier every single day and loves sharing his journey with others. His main goal is reaching the summit of your mountain with you.

Esther is a mat-based pilates instructor and sport and exercise physiologist. When she is not teaching performance pilates with us at KOTWF, she works as a sports scientist for Orreco and St Mary’s University.
Her specific focus on the female athlete led her to FitrWoman, the mobile app which helps athletes track their menstrual cycle and provide advice on training so they now when to push harder, when to prioritise recovery and how to fuel and optimise performance. As a training tool, it is a real ‘no-brainer’. You can even watch Esther interview world and Olympic champions on their social media channels.
Esther originally trained as a professional contemporary dancer before completing her MSc in Applied Sport and Exercise Physiology, but is now also a keen runner and cyclist who has dipped her toe into triathlon. She is a wealth of expertise, rich experience and extensive information which will prove priceless on your journey to your frontier.

Heloise is in her final year at the University of Surrey studying Sports and Exercise Science. With her passion for motorsport she is writing her dissertation on the physiological responses of racing drivers. As a result, she is keen to join and learn from the elite coaches and athletes at KOTWF.
As a ‘Third Culture Kid’, she has lived in several countries growing up, enabling her to merge into different cultures and openly welcomes change. She believes that abilities can be developed, so new challenges should be embraced.
Due to lockdown, she could no longer play for her University Volleyball Team, so decided to turn her focus towards a sport completely new to her: Triathlon. In 2022 she has the goal of becoming part of the Age-Group team.

India is our Female Athlete Mentor and a professional triathlete. Her smile, enthusiasm and discipline when it comes to training, racing and recovery make India the living, breathing example of the KOTWF philosophy.
While she was a successful junior runner, India quickly found that her feet felt just as much at home in the water and on bike pedals than they did in a pair of trainers. An emphatic win at the 2016 European triathlon championships saw her join the GB Olympic podium potential squad. Since then, she has won three Ironman 70.3 races and finished 11th at the 2019 70.3 World Championships. Most recently she lined up at the hugely anticipated PTO World Championships at Challenge Daytona where she finished 18th.
We are especially proud to have someone of India’s calibre guiding the way for our female athletes. India is still working hard every day to conquer her frontier. Join her on the journey, pay attention and you will gain indispensable knowledge.
